Airflex Type 'CB' are used as both clutches and/or Brakes in general Power Transmission service. The primary feature of the type 'CB' is the torsional resilient principle made possible by the transmission of power through the side walls of the neoprene and cord actuating tube. This flexibility also permits minor shaft misalignment.
For applications where torsional vibration is present , an ‘RD’ coupling is incorporated with the ‘CB’ assembly. This design saves space as the coupling replaces the normal Drum.
